of fairies

Somebody thinks this is important.

"It's about time you humans learned about the superior beings that are fairies."

"There are five types of fairy."

"First, and most common, are Trooping Fairies.  They handle all the elements and related things in the natural world.  Earth, fire, water, and so on.  They come in two types, Seelie and Unseelie.  Or, good and evil, you could say.  You know CE-VNN, he's a Seelie Trooping fairy.  Ash-bee is an Unseelie Trooper."

"Then are the rarer, more interesting, more beautiful fairies - the Sidhe.  Myself, for example.  Sidhe take care of other stuff - more... intangable things.  Music and sound, emotions, knowledge, and such.  Important stuff.  We are also two types, Solitary and Social.  I'm sure I've pointed out before that I am a Solitary Sidhe.  I don't have much need for others.  People say we're bastards, but I really don't care.  Social Sidhe are... pretty much the opposite, and they are the only type of fairy who will take life partners.  The losers."

"The fifth type is the most rare.  Actually, they only cover four things - spring, summer, winter, and fall.  They're called the Fae, and they control the seasons.  When a Trooping fairy and a Sidhe mate and produce offspring, that's how a Fae is born.  Their strength depends largely on where they're born.  For example, a Summer Fae born in Brazil will be much stronger than a Summer Fae born in Russia, and the Winter Fae will be opposite."

"Some traits are shared among all fairies.  We like to feel good, we're superior to humans, we're prettier than humans...  And we all have our own special powers, like my ability to travel via radio waves, for example.  We have long lifespans, but we do age and die eventually."

"Hmm...  Except one...  From what I hear, there is one fairy who's been around since time began.  Nobody is sure just how long his lifespan is, but... his wings must be massive.....  Ah!"

"Another common trait to all fairies are the wings.  The shape is pretty individual, but you can guess a fairy's age by the size of the wings, and how many pairs there are.  I may only have two pairs, but they're rather large, so I'm not actually too far behind those other guys.  Troopers' and Faes' wings tend to reflect their element or season, but the shape of a Sidhe's comes out pretty random."

Luke:  "Any questions?"
Rook:  "I think Luke has the prettiest wings!"
Luke:  "Of course, but that's not a question."
Brishen:  "I think you look like a bug."
Luke:  "Excuse me?"
Brishen:  "........................."

Luke:  "I was not finished."
Brishen:  "I've got better things to do than indulge you the attention you crave."
Luke:  "Yeah, like what?"

Brishen:  "Clear a bit of space."

Rook:  "Clear... space?"
Luke:  "What for?"

To be continued....
