Light of Day

Just a few short generations ago, if you told someone you could communicate with a person on the other side of the world, being able to see their face and hear their voice in real time, they'd think you were crazy.  Generations before that, if you said you could talk through a portal with someone in another land, you'd be burned at the stake.












Rook:  ::streeeetch::  "Ah-"





Luke:  "Hey."
Rook:  "Good morning."
Luke:  "Your little friend wants to talk to you."





Rook:  "Huh?"











Havoc:  "Rooook!"
Rook:  "Hav!  How did you get in there!?"
Havoc:  "Huh?  In where?"
Rook:  "In the computer!  You're inside of it!"
Havoc:  "Hee hee!  You're so silly!
Rook:  ??  "But..."
Havoc:  "I know your house has been talking to ours like this, and I wanted to try it too!"





Havoc:  "So how are you?"
Rook:  "I'm ok."
Havoc:  "Oh good!"
Rook:  "Ah... how are you?"
Havoc:  "I'm good!"
Rook:  "I'm glad."





Havoc:  "Hmm......  No....  no......  That's not right...."
Rook:  ??
Havoc:  "Actually, I've been sad."
Rook:  "Oh..."
Havoc:  "Because I miss you!  You've been gone a long time."
Rook:  "I'm sorry...."





Havoc:  "I wish you had stayed.  It would have been fun!  And... I would let you bite me any time you wanted."
Rook:  "I want to bite you again..."
Havoc:  "Will you come visit me soon?"
Rook:  "I don't know if I can..."
Havoc:  "Maybe some day."
Rook:  "Hav.............  Hav!"
Havoc:  "Mew?"





Rook:  "Is that... sunlight...?"
Havoc:  "Of course!  It's daytime here now."
Rook:  "But... it doesn't hurt..."
Havoc:  "I guess whatever hurts you doesn't come through the computer."





Rook:  "I haven't seen the sun in so long...  I know what it is... and I know that it hurts me, but... I'd forgotten what it looks like..."

Rook:  "It's pretty.  You look pretty in the sunlight."
Havoc:  "Oh, thank you!"
Rook:  "It looks warm..."





Havoc:  "Actually... it kind of burns."

Apparently albinos and sunlight don't mix.  .^^;;  Poor Havoc.
